Someone asked for Do17 screenshots. We didn't have any in the "gone gold" press release, so here are some i just took.

If you look closely at some of those screenshots, you will see some splashes in the water. It is so interesting when you are flying in a bomber and look towards a large air battle way out in the distance. Inevitably you see planes start to smoke and such, but it's ust so immersive to see these big plumes of water every once in a while.

If over land, you're flying along and you see two or three smoldering fires on the ground, and you think things like, "there must have been a battle over here recently."

The buildings in the campaign all stay damaged from mission to mission, so when you revisit targets, you see rubble down there.

Scott.

Sounds great :D Damage to static objects like buildings as you mentioned that is carried over mission to mission in a campaign is a very immersive feature that I am happy to see being added into the BoB sim(the other being LOMAC). One question I have is, are any of the buildings ever repaired so you might have to revisit them?

Thanks for the great info :D ,

Looks Great!

Seems to be fantastic advances being made here on long distance rendering of the effects of air warfare.

Is the sunset environmental lighing configurable (like in StrikeFighters), as everything seems very dark even though the sun is still shining above the horizon?

If I am not mistaken those Dorniers are bombing the naval base at Portland Harbour!
That is another thing thats great about this sim especially if you are a Brit. The landscape is recogniseable, especially the coast. 8)

Exactly what I was thinking Bushbaby...... with Chesil beach off to the right in the background, this web site http://www.soton.ac.uk/~imw/chesil.htm gives some perspective of the Chesil beach / Portland area :D
